Presents their first annual
Punkin Chunkin Event!
Where and When:
Thursday, October 29th at 12:15PM, at the middle school fields (Rain Date: October 30th)
Following the pumpkin launch, we will be having hot chocolate and dessert. Students are asked to bring fall-themed desserts and snacks, such as cookies, cupcakes, and candy apples.
Parents are invited to this wonderful event! We would love your help!
Safety Rules for building the catapult:
- Parents must sign the permission slip at the bottom of this sheet for their child to participate.
- Pumpkins need to be launched by mechanical means. No forms of propellant are permitted.
- Parents must supervise the construction of their child’s catapult.
- Students may work in groups of no more than 4 to construct a catapult.
- All catapults must have a safety latch that prevents the catapult from firing accidentally.
- A helmet must be worn during the launch. Safety glasses will be provided.
- The catapult must be dismantled following the launch.
